Trader Joe’s to the rescue

More than a week’s worth of groceries for under 50 bucks. Okay, so that might not be a bargain for a lot of people, but for the amount of food pictured here, and the quality it’s a total deal. Especially compared to Whole Foods (Which, just for the record, I love even if my bank account doesn’t. Side note- Whole Foods’ CEO John Mackey is totally sweet and is featured on the cover of the January issue of Reason. The article should be online soon… I will post a link when it’s up.).
Items pictured:
- Organic bananas
- Organic eggs
- Organic carrots
- Cranberries
- Raw milk cheddar cheese (inspired by raw milk cheese talk over at CastleGrok)
- Jalapeno chicken sausage (all natural, uncured)
- Seafood medley (shrimp, scallops, calamari rings)
- Uncured, no nitrite bacon
- Raw walnut halves and pieces
- Zucchini
- Organic peppers (triple pack of red, orange and yellow)
- Organic pink lady apples
- Mango black tea
The baby spinach is from WF. We stopped at the Dublin location to sample it up and have some gelato (I think I have diabetes after consuming 3095813095 grams of sugar today. Blargh.).
